I don't know how to say this but it is a while since I've last seen a movie that made me laugh freely.
It is a complete movie from my point of view because it's understandable for children and it has plenty of jokes for grown ups. And I enjoyed a lot the jokes related to celebrities names like: Charlize Theron, Kevin Bacon, Hugh Jackman and others I don't remember right now.
It has plenty of surprises and it is after all a comedy wrapped into an animation movie that totally deserves the time spend watching it. I gave it a 9, maybe a little bit higher that rated but in my opinion you just have to see this :D.

Storyline
From Walt Disney Animation Studios, the team behind "Frozen" and "Wreck-It Ralph," comes "Big Hero 6," an action-packed comedy-adventure about the special bond that develops between Baymax, a plus-sized inflatable robot, and prodigy Hiro Hamada. When a devastating event befalls the city of San Fransokyo and catapults Hiro into the midst of danger, he turns to Baymax and his close friends adrenaline junkie Go Go Tomago, neatnik Wasabi, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. Determined to uncover the mystery, Hiro transforms his friends into a band of high-tech heroes called "Big Hero 6."

Back in 2009, Disney purchased Marvel Comics for four billion dollars. Shocking and surprising the world, many fans of both sides were curious whether Disney would make an animation film based on a group of characters from the comics. Three years later, Director Don Hall approached John Lasseter on making a film with Marvel Characters and found the Big Hero 6, a comic book series that even the most well known of comics didn't know who they were. In fact they were so obscure that Marvel themselves even forgot that they had the characters.
Marvel gave Disney the liberty to change the characters so that they could be seen as a Disney Animation Film. And the result is simply refreshing.
Big Hero 6 is a beautiful film, showcasing how much animation has become. The east and west coast mash up of San Fransokyo combines to make such a spectacular scenery, that the city may as well be a character to the film.
The cast is also fun to watch. One annoyance films try to do is by shoving the diversity of characters in your face. Big Hero 6 doesn't do that, instead the focus is on the characters themselves and not the diversity, making it enjoyable to watch. One of the biggest highlights is the girls of the cast. I took my 3 nieces with my friends and I, and they loved how they were smart, enjoyable and didn't need to fall for a man. The cast is truly relatable, whether you are precise like Wasabi, positive like Honey Lemon or just a guy who loves media like Fred.
Of course the star of the film is the robot of Baymax. Any scene that he is in steals the show, whether it is his introduction or his care for Hiro and Company.
The Villain by far is one of the best villains in recent Disney history, he doesn't sing, dance or monologue, he simply gets the job done.
The film showcases the action greatly by giving large scopes and music that fits exceptionally well. Emotionally, the film captures the audience by showcasing the bond of brotherhood between Hiro and his older brother Tadashi, as well as his friend Baymax who is like a Surrogate brother to our main hero.
A strong lesson in this film, is that family can be more than blood related, you have friends, who become part of that. That really showed how much I cared for the loved ones around me, especially my older brother who is in the military, creating robots and fixing medical equipment.
If there was one complaint I would give, I would've like to see a little bit more about the rest of the team. Other than that, Big Hero 6 is a heartwarming tale that captures something for the entire family.
Big Hero 6 is another showing that Disney can continue to make great films after the juggernaut that was Frozen. This film showcases that the Disney Revival (Films such as The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Wreck-it-Ralph and Frozen) is not over yet, and I cannot wait to see what the next film has to offer.
Animation is under-estimated, perhaps because we tend to be afraid of what we do not understand.
I have seen a lot of films, done a lot of reviews and thought I had seen it all.
I was wrong.
First, I had not read the book prior to seeing this film nor had I seen the earlier screen version.
No matter. I was transfixed and stunned. I was still sitting there when the final credits rolled, which is really a feat because the credits roll for 10 minutes after the word FIN (THE END) rolls. (If you miss the credits, you miss the TURN AROUND song which itself could be highlight of one of the most incredible music scores in one of the most incredible movies ever).
When computers were first being married to animation -- a marriage made in heaven I think -- I recall an interview with a senior animator who confided that when the day came that they could get the "eyes" right, they would have reached the pinnacle of their craft.
Watching the eyes in this film, I felt as though I was watching real people. Does that make me sound daft? I hope not. There is one scene where the little girl watches the Aviator go to the hospital in the rain. She is at the same time transfixed with sadness and soaking wet. The animation made both conditions "real" at the same time. I don't know how. But it did.
Jeff Bridges, a brilliant actor with a record longer than your arm, gives the "voice" performance of his career here, and Rachael McAdams, former Femme Fatale, former "against type" actress (TRUE DETECTIVE) ditto.
Running out of superlatives, something I seldom do, so I will stop here.

When Oh, a loveable misfit from another planet, lands on Earth and finds himself on the run from his own people, he forms an unlikely friendship with an adventurous girl named Tip who is on a quest of her own. Through a series of comic adventures with Tip, Oh comes to understand that being different and making mistakes is all part of being human. And while he changes her planet and she changes his world, they discover the true meaning of the word HOME.

Home is one of the most standard family films you'd get, in spite of its likable character designs, colorful visuals and intriguing premise. The film doesn't seem to offer beyond those dazzling spectacles and unending comedic antics. While that's not a terrible thing, the overall film feels more of a distraction for children to see in cinema. There is a totally appealing world built here and there is a theme hidden somewhere, but Home rather just conforms to the typical style of CGI kids movies today that follows the fast paced energetic set of punchlines and action until it finally decided to reveal what the whole story is all about. The overall film is undeniably adorable, but we've come to love animated movies even better than this generic quality.
It all sets in a friendly invasion by an alien race that is hiding from an enemy, since they are new in planet Earth, they don't exactly understand enough of the world thus they have to humorously misuse most of its objects, having a hard time using their language, and make a mess around every place, usually landmarks. The main character, Oh, then meets a young human girl who at first hated these aliens for capturing her mother after separating every human to an isolated civilization, but slowly earns trust after befriending with Oh. The center here seems to be about avoiding naivety and misjudgments or something. The ending also seems like it has this same sentiment, but the plot doesn't do much to build that up pretty well. Sure, most of it takes place in a car with the two heroes talking and learning each other's culture, mainly treated as a gag, but the narrative feels so uncertain, we're just stuck with these two fooling around and getting involve with more trouble until the film decided to jump into its third act. Like everything happens so randomly.
It's full of energy, but at the same time it sort of feels lazy. The story contains some interesting ideas and themes that could transcend itself from its first impression, but the film rather prioritizes the most common choices to absolutely keep the children's attention, which are the ones that don't necessarily help making the storytelling compelling. It may have ended with a heartwarming message, but everything else is so drowned with sudden action and humor, and so little inspiration is left to the audience. But the animation is cute, it's definitely designed that way. Everything looks so whimsical; what could have been a disastrous alien invasion, rather makes the world look like some sort of an amusement park. And how the characters look is so cartoony that this studio might earn another memorable character. Too bad, those designs only go that far. The vocal performances are delightful enough to bring them to life.
Home needs more tweaks, mostly in its own plot. So much potential surrounding in its world, the movie rather focuses on what the mass would usually get in these animated movies. It may be delightful, there is some creativity in its visuals and it's easy to like these characters and the enthusiasm behind their voices, but it's also forgettable, due to its really uninspired storytelling. It's like they just threw everything together and sat around, letting the cuteness and random sentiments do the talking, but they somehow forget how it works, or just lacks the care it deserves. But whatever, just like what I said, this is perfect to distract the children, but this won't end up being a classic or anything.

After young Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco, her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness - conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school.
Storyline
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley's mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

Sometimes things are overrated - that is just a fact of life I suppose, but in this case we have a special exception. The over-rate-o-meter is broken and that must be why no one can tell how overrated it is.
Having heard some oozing reviews on the radio and online, with statements like "return to form for Pixar" and "leaving the disappointment of Brave behind", I was expecting something spectacular. All I can say is... wow.
Brave is several factors of infinity better than this film. Brave has a plot, it has some comedy, it has nice songs and music - it has some characters and the characters have some fire.
In contrast Inside Out relies on one thing and one thing only - anecdotes. Everything hinges on a cheap emotional connection to the various events in life that everyone experiences. The "actual" film itself has a weak, scattered and infuriating plot-line pasted together from random sketches. Sadness and Joy are both equally annoying - and theyare the main characters! The characters are all one-dimensional and there are very few of them. There is no memorable music, there are no memorable quotes, the comedy - well there really isn't any to speak of. The only ray of light in the whole thing is the buildup and end to "put the foot down" and it isn't mind blowing, it's just a chuckle.
Now, is Frozen overrated? Yes, of course it is, but again at LEAST is has a powerful main song and some interesting characters to merit it's following.
Despite all of the "glowing" reviews and comments here on IMDb and elsewhere, I defy anyone to come up with a single quote, a single piece of music, a single character from this film that merits the enthusiasm.

The Good Dinosaur is a 2015 3D computer-animatedadventurecomedy-drama film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film stars Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Sam Elliott, Anna Paquin, A. J. Buckley, Jeffrey Wright, Frances McDormand and Steve Zahn. Bob Peterson, who came up with the idea for the story, directed the film until August 2013. In October 2014, Peter Sohn was announced as the new director. The film, along with Inside Out, marks the first time that Pixar has released two feature films in the same year. The Good Dinosaur had its premiere on November 10, 2015 in Paris, and was released in the United States on November 25, 2015

First, let me mention that it being an animation movie doesn't necessarily mean that it is a children's movie. It's got some scary pieces and may not be suitable for everyone.
That being said, in my humble opinion, this movie is really great! Sure, it's story isn't really original and might be a bit cheesy, but it is really well done. The characters are lovable and do evolve during the story and teach us some very meaningful life lessons in a very playful manner.
The visuals are by far the best I've ever seen in any animated movie. Sometimes it was hard to tell if it was real world footage or animated. The art of animation has come a long way since the first Toy Story. The score was very jolly and uplifting and at moments very touching when it needed to be. The voice acting was excellent as expected. The movie has some similarities with the Lion King and Brother Bear and in the end, really touched me.
It definitely isn't Pixar's best, neither is it it's worst. Coming after Inside Out, which set the bar extremely high, it leaves people disappointed for obvious reasons. Try to look at this as a movie apart, without comparing it to other Pixar movies which are incomparable. Go see it in the cinema with an open mind and enjoy the fun, emotional and visual feast of The Good Dinosaur.
